1.3 Data collected through permissions

Depending on how you use the app, we may request access to:

  • Camera (for uploading pet photos, documents, receipts)

  • Push notifications (health reminders, task alerts, behavioural diary prompts)
  • Location (optional; e.g., nearby service providers)

You may disable permissions at any time through your device settings, but some features may not function.

  • Payment processors (payment confirmation, subscription status)

  • App store platforms (purchase history, anonymised statistics)
  • Service providers (e.g., groomers, trainers, vet clinics) if you book through PawketPlace

 

2. How We Use Your Data (Purpose Limitation under PDPA)

We use data in accordance with PDPA’s purpose limitation, meaning we only use data for reasonable and necessary purposes. We use personal data to:

  • Create and manage your PawketPlace account
  • Provide personalised pet-care tools, reminders, and insights
  • Power the behavioural diary, risk triage, and AI-generated recommendations
  • Deliver subscription services and track billing cycles
  • Send health reminders, alerts, and appointment notifications
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve app performance, safety, and user experience
  • Conduct analytics and product development
  • Offer promotions, discounts, and relevant product updates
  • Comply with legal obligations

We will not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

 

3. How We Use Pet Data & Behavioural Insights

PawketPlace uses pet information, behavioural diaries, and care logs to:

  • Generate personalised care tasks
  • Detect behavioural patterns
  • Provide early-risk insights
  • Recommend daily/weekly/monthly care routines
  • Improve the underlying AI models

All insights are informational only and are not medical diagnosis.

 

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

We may share data with trusted third parties only when necessary:

  1. Payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google)
  2. Cloud hosting & storage providers
  3. Analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, crash reporting)
  4. Service providers you book through the app

All partners are contractually obligated to comply with PDPA or equivalent data-protection standards.

We do NOT sell personal data.
We do NOT share data with advertisers for profiling.

 

5. Cross-Border Data Transfer

We may store or process data outside of Singapore (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Firebase). When doing so, we ensure that:

  • The receiving country has comparable data protection laws, OR
  • We impose legally enforceable obligations (PDPA Section 26)

You consent to such transfers by using the Platform.

 

6. Data Retention

Standard retention period: 12–24 months after account termination. This aligns with pet-care industry norms and AAHA/AVMA digital guidance. We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide Services
  • Maintain account continuity
  • Perform troubleshooting
  • Resolve disputes
  • Comply with legal obligations

After the retention period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion unless retention is legally required.

11. Behavioural-Triage & Health Disclaimer

The behavioural diary, AI suggestions, and risk alerts are informational only and are NOT substitutes for veterinary advice. Users should consult licensed veterinarians or certified animal behaviourists for diagnosis, emergencies, or treatment.

PawketPlace is not liable for decisions made without such consultation.

 

12. Third-Party Links

Our Platform may link to external sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

 

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email, in-app notice, or website updates. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
